Many of the portraits of people and animals shown in the Galleries were originally commissioned works. As evidenced in her work Rae enjoys doing portraits where she can combine imagination with representation. So for instance the original real animals who were the portrait subjects can been placed in an imaginative scene combining photographs with imagination to produce a more playful portrait.

How it Works
A commissioned work begins with a conversation between you and the artist to see if there is a fit in terms of subject matter and style. Whether it is a portrait of a person or animal, The artist will generally need to work from a good, clear photographic image provided by you. Prices vary according to the size and complexity of the work. Once the conversation has been successfully completed and a photograph provided, the artist will produce a sketch for approval , before proceeding.
